She’s Young and With It

On the left we have a Mini Apple Pie human treat and on the right we have an Elvis Pupsley dog treat.

I recently purchased The Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook and I have big plans to try out many of the recipes. The Elvis Pupsleys are the second recipe I have made from the book and the dogs seem to like them an awful lot. I taste tested them and they taste pretty OK! The first recipe I tried was a basic carob chip cookie recipe and my taste test said they were pretty bland, but the dogs seemed pleased with those too.

I have not taste tested the apple pie human treat yet. I bought the mini pie mold yesterday for the bargain price of $3.99. The mini pies were enjoyable to make, but I think I am going to have to work on the filling as it looks pretty dry. Such a small amount of filling goes into the mold that it probably needs to pack a mighty punch.

I even made a Flickr set a while back to illustrate the Poang chair love. I have been meaning to get a Bemz cover for an old Ikea PS chair and now maybe the Poang chair too.

The cats are costumeless because dressing up a cat just seems cruel, while dressing up a dog is FUN! for the dog, of course.

There has been so much going on, and yet, I neglect to write about it. Life has a way of getting in the way of such things. An update in photos:

Cake balls from Holy Cacao!

Opal the foster cat came to live with us.

I expanded the butterfly and hummingbird garden in the front yard.

We saw Bill Callahan at Waterloo Records.

I even took a shaky and sometimes out of focus video of him singing the Kath Bloom cover “The Breeze/My Baby Cries.”

I finally put a second coat of paint on the bedroom walls and we bought a nice new bed. Sherman approves.

I don’t think the walls are really that bright, but I might be wrong.
