I neglected to tell you that Callie was given a clean bill of health almost two weeks ago! Neko was not too sure about Callie at first, but now they play constantly. The only problem is that they never stop playing so they roll around and bite each other and knock into furniture and your food and your feet and everything really.
These dogs never settle down when they are together. Never. Ever.
Callie weighs almost twice as much as Neko currently, but they are roughly the same height. Callie is estimated to be about five months old at this time. She also gained 2 1/2 pounds in 1 1/2 weeks. She is going to be a hefty little pit bull terrier when she is full grown.
Callie is a big lug. Neko is an agile little dog. The combination makes for good entertainment.

The only other news right now is that we are completely dissatisfied with Neko’s dog trainer. She is a self-centered armchair psychologist* who is rude to people and inattentive to the dogs who really need help. We paid her a lot of money (including a very pricey behavior evaluation before the class ever started) and her info sheet says it is non-refundable. This is quite unfortunate. Last night’s class was simply awful for a number of reasons that are too lengthy to divulge here. The classes feel quite disorganized as well.
Poo.
